boulevard. according to the sheriff's office. a truck struck austin crawford as they rode bikes. the bay turned and traveled into the road and the passing driver hit him. neighbors and family tried to save him by performing cpr. and medics transported him to the hospital for treatment but he did not survive. now, according to the polk county deputies, the driver involved cooperating with investigators. this is still an ongoing case. they are working the case. and we'll follow this throughout the day and bring you any new information as it is available. he doesn't have no bit of compassion.

road. the highway patrol arrested nikolaos konstantinou last night in his home. they linked him to the crime through his insurance company. he filed a claim after that accident happened. it was late on ends with night on hillsborough avenue and 17-year-old ashley perdomo was trying to cross the street after leaving work when she was hit and killed. there was a vigil for her last night. she was an aspiring model and a student he felt something hit the car but he had no idea it was ashley until the next morning. >> something hit me, that's the way it felt. i didn't know. i drove a couple more blocks, i didn't see it was dark. i went back to the place. i saw the damage. it was done. i'm still in shock right now.

it is terrible. >> troopers say if he stopped he may not be facing charges. the family said if that did happen the crews probably could have responded sooner and maybe saved her life. developing news from tallahassee, a long awaited rule something in. the state supreme court rule that the death penalty proceedings are unconstitutional. the impose the death penalty unanimously. this is not the law n january the supreme court ruled that the procedures were unconstitutional because it gave the ultimate decision of death to a judge, not a jury. lawmakers fixed that but did not make the decision. and they will have to fix the law again so until that happens and does not have a death penalty. a horrifying discovery in

chicago, bismark, in the 50s. and the northern state and 80 -- say 80% of the country. that's nice weather in the 70s and the 80s. the dew points rise in the 60s. by the weekend we're talking dew points in the 70s. and feel like the jump for the next couple of days it will drop off. level off in the mid-to-upper 60s. and then again there are signs of that substantial front at least maybe late next week. weekend. and the northeast wind continuing w that you will see sprinkles from time to time we get through the afternoon hours. and most of us stay dry. that dry air is starting to retreat. we see the moisture returning to the area as we head into the weekend.
